Having just recovered from the excitement of receiving a Highly Commended Award in the Taste of Yorkshire Category at the White Rose Awards, it is thrilling to find out that Tipple Tails has now been nominated for Independent Business of the Year in the Yorkshire Choice Awards.
Here at Tipple Tails HQ in Sheffield, provenance is very important and I take great pride and care in sourcing all my ingredients from local Yorkshire suppliers wherever possible. Our fruit cakes are made with free range eggs, laid by happy chickens just a few miles up the road at Dunsford Bridge, our butter comes from Longley Farm in Holmfirth, home to Nora Batty and Compo and our flour from Driffield millers, Bradshaws. The unusual award-winning liqueurs that all of our fruit cakes are steeped in are made just a few miles away at Cawthorne, Barnsley.
It is truly an honour to be nominated for the Yorkshire Choice Awards and being part of celebrating all that is Yorkshire, especially being alongside other fabulous Yorkshire independent businesses – including The Birdhouse Tea Co, also from Sheffield whose tea I use to soak the fruit for the Total Fruit Cake bars I make.

I was so impressed when I saw the website . The cakes are fabulous and I have sent them to so many friends. They are an innovative and tasty way to say thank you etc. Everyone who has received one is dazzled!
Thank you so much Tipple Tails .
Thank you so much Marilyn! I am delighted that you like the new website; I am over the moon with it. All down to some very talented people at Tonik and my very talented photographer John Anderson.
And what a lovely way to react to the Tipple Tails fruit cake experience to say that someone was dazzled – makes me feel all sparkly!
As always, thank you so much for all your support x
