With the official start of British Summertime recently it is time to turn our thoughts to warmer weather and enjoying the outside more and all that that brings!
Whether it be afternoon tea in the garden, or picnics in the countryside – the occasion isn’t complete without a cake!
If there are a few of you out on a picnic, one of our fruit cakes in a tin is ideal – really easy to pack and transport in baskets or hampers without the cake being damaged. Or our individually wrapped minis are ideal for single serve portions. The minis are also ideal for those of us (and I include myself in that group!) who aren’t great at making decisions and want to try all of the varieties!!
My thoughts always turn to outdoor concerts and plays at this time of year too – there are so many to choose from and some in such beautiful venues that they can be truly special occasions. I must admit, a delicious food and drink hamper to be enjoyed at these events is always an integral part of the evening for me. It may be platters and cold meats, quiches and salads, and of course cheese – wine to accompany – and I always pop a Tipple Tails fruit cake in – perfect to go with the cheese or just as a sweet treat, perhaps with that flask of tea or coffee?
The Coco Bazaar in particular is a great accompaniment to a glass of prosecco or champagne – if you are pushing the boat out with your hamper!!
