Getting Ready for the Tour de Yorkshire with Total Fruit Cake

As interest mounts in the Tour de Yorkshire – only just over 7 weeks until it starts – sales and stockists of my Total Fruit Cake are increasing!

I don’t know about you but every one of my bike rides has to involve a stop off for tea and cake!

Total Fruit Cake was actually developed by working with a cycling group over several months and an owner of a specialist bike shop in Birmingham, as apparently there are many cyclists out here who are not that keen on nutrition bars – but seemingly more keen on a filling slice of fruit cake!
It’s bursting with dates, apricots, nuts & vine fruits and the fruit is infused with Sheffield Honey & Sheffield’s Birdhouse Tea Company ‘Full Monty’ tea. A perfect energy boost for cyclists and all sorts of other sports people!

And keeping the Yorkshire theme, the cakes are made with Longley Farm Butter, local Free Range Eggs & Flour from Driffield in Yorkshire.
So for all those of you inspired by the Tour de Yorkshire to get out in our beautiful countryside on your bikes, the slices are designed to slide into a pocket or pop into a rucksack side pocket; perfect for a pack-up!

The cake slices are available in boxes of 14 slices in a fab shelf ready box, and are available in lots of outlets around Sheffield.
If you have a favourite café on your cycle routes that you think should be stocking our cakes do let me know by getting in touch at: [email protected]
